Meet Your Toon

Your Character awakens into their world. They have been here for sometime and are somehow aware of this.  They have acquired a certain understanding of their capabilities and their expected behavior. They are aware of strengths and weaknesses within themselves, to some extent. Despite all of this, they feel as if they are seeing their own world, for the first time. 

As they get their wits back about them, they realize there is a path ahead. They begin to move in that way to assess whatever lies in store for them.

This is your character.  We will call it your "Toon".  This is you, for as long as you play the game. You can dress it up, change it's appearance. You can give it a name.

Other Toons

Along the path your toon meets many other characters. Some are important to your story, some are not. Some will be around for the length of your tale. Others will come and go periodically throughout. Some will be important in a moment, and gone in the next.

You will gather information from all of these other toons. Some will teach you great lessons, some will help guide. Others will try to distract or discourage, trick or fool you. All of this information helps you along on your tale, your path.

Skill Points

Your toon will encounter challenges, battles, various other forms of Tests. Some you will win, or succeed in.  Some you will lose or fail.  Your toon will none the less aquire various amounts of Skill points for each Challenge, battle, or test.

With these Skill points you are able to make choices for your toon. You decide how each of these Skill points will be used to strengthen, fortify, or enhance your toon, heightening their abilities. 

Some tests are physical, some tests are mental and some rely upon your will alone.

Quests

Along the way your toon will be offered a variety of Quests, and Sub-quests. Some may be chosen, some are unavoidable. Some draw your heart to a place where you feel all is possible. (and my dear readers; It is!! )

However important or not any Quest in your toon's tale may appear, ONE will stand above all others.  The one Quest, or goal, that drives the story for your toon.

ENDGAME

All these Skill points and other attributes acquired along the way, ultimately leading to one goal. Preparing your toon to fulfill it's Purpose.

Save the Princess?  Save the World?  Sometimes even, just save yourself?

This is your life.  A video game.  The most amazing RPG you could ever imagine.

Welcome, to the real world.

In life we seem to "wake up" at different times throughout our lives.

We find ourselves in a familiar world, but something has changed within us. Making it appear as if this is our first day in a new world. We remember everything about ourselves to this moment, but something is different.

At the time of this awakening we recognized a path before us. Difficult to tell how we got to this point, but here we are and already moving along the same path again. We become more and more aware of all the other roads leading away from this path. After our imagination takes control of our so called reason, we decide to take a new road.

We meet people who help or deter us.  We learn new skills and acquire new attributes. We face tests and challenges. Engage in battles. Gathering experience.

We use this experience to move towards our goal. Saving the Princess. Saving the world. Acquiring riches and managing assets while trying to accomplish whatever GOAL we set before ourselves.

We dress ourselves up. We answer to our names

We are the Toon. In our very own life-sized RPG.

The only difference between the video games in your TV and the existence we call "real life" is that when we KNOW the xbox and Nintendo are playing a game for us.

Your MIND is your Xbox.

It creates the graphics and controls the physics of your environment, as you (the Toon) operate within your incredible Games structural framework.

Someone pass the cheat codes?

From here forward we are going on a Quest together.  A walk through the virtual world we live and breathe.

Some sharing of information, some random musings, many shared thoughts and passions.

Let's play.

With so many things to PLAY and bound only by the heights of our imagination, this world is ours.

We can learn how to take it.  As well as how we can take it back.

YOU are the programmer.

I can walk through fire with more grace than your birds.

I can climb your highest mountains with few stumbles.

Where I fall apart is not in your greatest challenges.

It is in my own desire to do better, and become more.

From mistakes we learn our greatest lessons, and from pain we learn how to love. 

From both we learn how to feel.  From feeling, we learn how to be.

One foot in the dark, I will keep.  To learn the pain, and isolation it feels.

So that with the other in pure light - I can be a bridge between the two.

An all encompassing view.

I am dissonance, for all to see.  A paradox, in which both light and dark are as pure as fresh water.

Because I am water.. I can keep myself pure.  Even after the worst pollution.

Do not fear for me.. for I fight for you.  I'll bleed, because you don't.. I'll be free, because you won't.

I suffer, so that others do not.  I feel love, because others cannot.  Equally, and always with a smile.

This is not my ego, this is my being.  This is not pride, it is a matter of fact.

My point of view is, and has never been tied to this world, so I do not view anything, including my own actions as others do. 

Things such as "freedom" or the idea of living life for yourself, are things I understand, and have enjoyed.  They are only ideas.

They can lead you where you need to be.  They cannot for me.  I have been "where I need to go", and I am now "right where I should be".

Now I have to do something.   Take all of this knowing, and understanding, and feeling... and make put it to work.

I remember the mistake we all made with all of our divinity.  We learned how to "get there".  Then we stopped.

We never looked back down the mountain.  What we should have done. Is go back to the bottom, and climb back up. 

There were still others on the mountain.  We left them behind, in search of truth.  Then we got what we searched for, and forgot all about the journey.

We left so very many behind.  Yet bathed in our "glory of truth and freedom", we were still selfish.  We sat on it, at the top of our mountain.

We never thought ahead.. At the top of the mountain, of course, is a river.  A river no one being can cross alone.  One which NONE shall cross without the others, down the mountain.

So many, so guilty, of keeping the truth to themselves.  Living in their own isolation, but too blinded by their own new light to even see this, truth.  Thinking themselves, free.

What about the river my friends?

You need to go back down the mountain.  To the very roots.  Then venture to climb back up, and hold yourself, while those around you fall.  Up and down the mountain, until your example alone teaches others the path and the courage to walk it.

Then we can ALL reach the top, we can all feel the light.. and we can ALL cross the river.

You'll never be free by simply saving yourself.

Do you believe you are free?  If so you should have no problem walking back into the prison, and unlocking some other cells.  Or simply dancing in it.

This is not what you want to hear.  If it feels like a slap in the face, it is clearly true.  You still fear the dark.  You prove this by avoiding it.  You have built new walls, and you live in them now, on the top of your mountain.

Staring at the river.. but not yet seeing it.. still, wondering.. What do I do now?

Accept another challenge.  Grow more, and again.  Remember there are many who do not even realize the mountain you sit on top of is even really there!!  Be the change.  Help the others get to the gathering.  So together we can cross the river.

There is a cave at the bottom of the mountain that runs very deep.  Are you sure enough of your own divinity to reach it's depths, and wave at it's demons? 

I am there now.. Singing a new song.  Unafraid, in perfect love.  Unfortunately for us both, if you want to see me completely, you'll have to meet me there.  For there I will remain until you all join me.  Together (this time) we will climb.  Together we will reach the top.. and together we will cross the river.

Not one single being regardless of their shades and colours, can be excluded.  Or else, the walls will forever be there for us all.
